After playing a simple, boy-next-door Karthik, in Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya, which went down with family and lady audiences, Silambarasan is back in a new bravo look.

Toni & Guy, the internationally reputed UK based chain with salons worldwide has given Silambarasan a new look and style for his next film Poda Podi.

In fact when Simbu had gone for location hunt to Toronto (where the film was to be shot originally) he had visited Toni&Guy salon and discussed about his looks for the film. Toni&Guy have more than 400 salons worldwide and have won many hair dressing awards globally.

Says Simbu: “I got my hair done specially for the film. It was worth the wait as my stylist at Tony & Guy have done a great job.” Simbu is having a great time in London. Last evening he watched the world cup football match between England and Algeria live on the giant screen at Leicester square along with a huge crowd.

Poda Podi will be shot in one schedule in London, Caribbean and some European locations. Varalakshmi Sarath kumar, daughter of the veteran actor and Nadigar Sangam chief Sarath Kumar, will debut as heroine in the film.

The film is directed by Vignesh Shiva, and has music by Dharan. It is being produced by Gemini Film Circuit and Padam Kumar. Says director Vignesh Shiva: “Poda Podi will be a feel-good musical love story which will showcase Simbu in an all-new look.”
