Suriya’s Hari directed Singam 2 is releasing huge in Kerala, perhaps the highest screen count for a Tamil film in the state. Sree Kaleeswari Films, the local distributor of Singam 2 has got a record 151 screens from Kalikavilla to Kasargod.
Singam 2 is releasing in multiple screens even in small towns. In small stations like Nedumangad, Parapanangadi, Mavelikara, and few other places, it is releasing in two screens.
In Thiruvananthapuram the film is releasing in six screens with a total capacity of nearly 5000 seats per show. On the first day they are starting the film as early as 5.30 am!! In Ernakulam nearly a dozen screens including multiplexes are playing it.
The idea is clear to get maximum revenue from releasing stations in the next 72 hours (3 days June 5,6,7) before Ramzan fasting period starts on July 8. In most of these places it will be reduced to single screens by Sunday.
But any way you look Singam 2 due to the hype surrounding its massive release and Suriya is sure to get a gargantuan opening.
