Rajnikant's Sivaji success story continues in India's biggest eastern metropolis of Kolkotta, where only Bengali and Hindi films run!
Sivaji opened well in Kolkotta last Friday (June 22) a week after its worldwide release, and also became the first Tamil film to open in four screens and daily 12 shows. Truly incredible in a city where only the occasional Tamil film releases, and that too in morning or noon shows!
The producers have to thank the English, Hindi and even Bengali news channels who aggressively promoted the film and the charisma around Rajnikanth.
Remember that Kolkotta has the least number of Tamil speaking population, compared to other big cities outside Tamilnadu like Bangalore, Mumbai or New Delhi?
