The `Karnataka Rakshana Vedike` (KRV) is insisting on only four prints instead of 10 for screening ‘Sivaji’ in Karnataka. Narayana Gowda T.A, President of KRV says that if this is violated, they have threatened to picket theatres screening 'Sivaji' and seize prints.

KRV has also demanded that all 'Sivaji' film posters should be in Kannada! Actually, theatres in Bangalore have no posters in front of theatres where 'Sivaji' will be released and ad’s coming in Kannada dailies does not mention the theatre list.

At all major multiplexes like PVR, INOX and Innovative, tickets have been sold out for the week. The black market rate of ‘Sivaji’ in Bangalore is a whopping Rs 2000. Says Chandra Kanth, Karnataka State Rajanikanth Fans Welfare Association (KSRFWA) President: “On the advice of Rajnikanthji we are not going to react and in fact playing down all the opposition”.
