At the Velaikkaran press meet in Kochi, Sivakarthikeyan said: “Velaikkaran is an emotional journey of Arivu and how his life turns after meeting his friend Adhi (Fahadh Faasil)”.
“For me, acting in an unknown language is difficult but that’s not the case for Fahadh, he excelled lengthy dialogues with great ease”, added Sivakarthikeyan.

Fahadh said “My thought process is always in Malayalam so had to write down the dialogues in English but the homework is good, I’m doing one more Tamil film (Mani Ratnam’s film). It was during the break of Maheshinte Prathikaaram, Mohan Raja approached me with the script of Velaikkaran”.
Both Fahad and Sivakarthikeyan were in full praise for the film’s heroine Nayanthara for her dedication and hard work. “Velaikkaran will be a serious action thriller which talks about the perspective of two people on the current situation of workers”, said Sivakarthikeyan.
Velaikkaran is slated to release in more than 1200 screens across the globe.
