Six K-town celebs prefer OPS over Sasikala!

In Tamil Nadu, cinema and politics go hand in hand. Most of our big heroes who are larger-than-life heroes on screen prefer to keep quiet when a real problem arises when thousands of their fans wait to get their reaction.  The political turmoil in Tamil Nadu has grabbed the attention of the entire country. AIADMK’s General Secretary Sasikala and the party’s senior member and current Chief Minister O Paneerselvam have divided the party into two. 

For a long time, Kollywood celebrities have been associated with the important proceedings in Tamil Nadu politics and even now, many of them have voiced out their thoughts. The interesting fact is the few people who are vocal prefer O Paneerselvam over VK Sasikala….

Kamal Haasan
In his interviews to National Media, Kamal Haasan has openly admitted that he prefers O Paneerselvam over Sasikala. The actor through his tweets has urged his colleagues including close buddies Madhavan and Sathyaraj to speak out on the ongoing political tussle.

Gangai Amaren
It is well-known fact that actor, music composer and director Gangai Amaren’s large farmhouse in ECR was allegedly bought by Sasikala and co for a meager amount. Gangai Amaran had in fact told in courts that it was "land grabbing" and he was forced to sign the documents under duress.  Now reacting to the current situation, Gangai Amaren has supported O Paneerselvam and subtly expressed his displeasure on Sasikala and her family.

Sarathkumar has been a big supporter of late Chief Minister J Jayalalitha that the actor’s party allied with AIADMK and he even became an MLA. The Nattamai actor has recently issued a statement, where he mentioned that Paneerselvam is a true loyalist of Jayalalitha and wished him a great success.

Manobala and Ramarajan
On Monday actor Manobala visited Paneerselvam at his residence and offered his support. Similarly, yesteryear actor and former ADMK MP Ramarajan has also supported the Chief Ministers.

Aravind Swamy

The actor who has been excelling in playing negative roles has been going vocal on Twitter about his stance on various issues. In a video interview he has said that there is no freedom of speech in India.It is obvious Aravind from his tweets want the corrupt system to be cleansed.  

Apart from these six actors, many Kollywood celebrities also want O Paneerselvam to continue as the Chief Minister of the state and they have been retweeting posts supporting him. One must note that the Supreme Court will propose its verdict in the disproportionate assets case against Sasikala today (February 14), which will play a crucial role in Tamil Nadu politics.
