The much controversial movie ‘title’ of the year award definitely goes to ‘Smt Jai Lalitha’. The problem of the movie goes back to the date of the announcement of the movie! Initially titled as ‘Smt Jayalalitha’, it was later changed to ‘Jayalalitha’. Just few days before the release, the title was finalised to ‘Smt Jai Lalitha’.

The remake of Malayalam flick ‘Mayamohini’, ‘Smt Jai Lalitha’ is sure to impress Sandalwood audience. All thanks to hero (read heroine) Sharan aka Jai Lalitha! Sharan who plays the lead not only has acted with ease but has amazingly fit himself in the shoes of women! In the first look, he can even make you believe that this is definitely a woman! Such is his acting in the movie!

The movie begins with two friends (Ravi Shankar Harish Raj) who want to try and make it big in business but are always unsuccessful. Meanwhile they meet an astrologer who asks them to find a woman who belongs to a particular ‘star’. That is the only option they have to prosper in life!

Entry Sharan! He disguises himself into a woman with who they fall in love with. His entry changes the complete plot of the movie! Will the friends know that ‘Smt Jai Lalitha’ is actually a man? Will the marriage really bring luck as predicted by astrologer? You have to watch the twist in tale on big screen!

Sharan manages amazingly with his acting skills. He has the ability to tickle the funny bones of the audience. Heroines Disha Disha Pandey and Aishwarya Devan too manage to impress the audience with good acting skills. But they have a very little scope and screen time in the film. Sharan is both the hero and the heroine of the film! Ravi Shankar and Harish Raj are at their comic best. T S Nagabharana too will impress the audience.

The comedy flick is a one-time watch and definitely a must watch for those who can enjoy Sharan’s punch lines! The movie is an adaptation of Malayalam flick Mayamohini and is not a copy-paste. Few changes have been made to suit the nativity. Fast narration, comic timing and good camera works are the highlights of the movie. Lastly, the movie does entertain you to what you have paid for!

Verdict: Entertaining
