Soha Ali Khan set the ramp on fire at the Northest Fashion Fest - a four day fashion extravaganza- which kicked off in Guwahati recently.
Khan walked the ramp as a showstopper for designer Sunita Shankar, who showcased a beautiful fusion of traditional and modern attires.
Speaking at the occasion, the 34-year-old actress said that she feels happy to be a part of the fest.
"I have come here to learn because it's the first time I have come this side, as I never got an opportunity to come to this side, which is a part of our country. But it's a beautiful place and I really liked the cause behind this Northeast Fashion fest, which is to join different parts of the country together," she said.
"As people should know the art and crafts of this state and also that there are many good designers here who make beautiful clothes," Khan added.
Colours like, black, gold, red and off-white were vibrant on the ramp with innovative use of Assam silk and the traditional motives in western Silhouettes.
The fest, which is an initiative to promote local handloom and designs of the Northeast talent, also gives designers a platform to meet prospective markets. (ANI)
