The director of Kochadaiiyaan, India’s first motion captured 3D animated film, Soundarya Rajinikanth Ashwin received NDTV’s Indian of The Year Award for Technical Innovation In Film. The glittering ceremony took place in Delhi last evening.
The award was given in the category of Technical Innovation in Films. Certainly Soundarya has pushed the boundaries with Kochadaiiyaan in technical aspects for an Indian film.
While accepting the award, she said “3D animated technology is new to India but it is not new to Hollywood. I wanted to immortalise my father through this film. It is not a cartoon film. It is photo realistic performance where my father has really acted.”
Bollywood Actor Ranbir Kapoor presented the award to Soundarya. He said "I just hope we don't get replaced as actors because everything is animated now".
Kochadaiiyaan is all set to release on May 9 world-wide in one of the largest releases for an Indian movie. Superstar fans all over the world are eagerly waiting for the release.
