Nayanthara's magnum opus Telugu mythological Sri Rama Rajyam is releasing today in Malayalam dubbed version all over Kerala. Posters of Nayanthara as Sita has been plastered all over the state.
Sri Rama Rajyam is a 2011 mythological Telugu film directed by veteran Bapu. The film depicts Lord Rama's rule of Ayodhya after he returns from Lanka, his separation from Sita and her reclusive life in the forest as she raises their children Lava and Kusa.

It features Nandamuri Balakrishna as Lord Rama with Nayanthara as Sita in the lead roles. Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Srikanth and Sai Kumar appear in supporting roles. Music of the film is composed by Ilaiyaraaja.
It is a smart move by the distributors of the dubbed version to release it in Karkidakam, the holy month where all Malayalee Hindus read the Ramayanam. And is promoting the film through paper ads claiming - "a portion of the revenue will be donated to famous Sri Padmanabha Swamy temple, in Thiruvananthapuram so buy a ticket and be blessed".
The recent revelation of Padmanabhaswamy temple as one of the wealthiest temples in India having some 320 billion (US$5.79 billion) in gold, coins and other assets. It is estimated that the value of the monumental items is close to 1.2 trillion (US$21.72 billion), making it the richest temple in the world.
After sweeping almost all the Best Actress awards in the south, Nayanthara is looking forward to the response of her ambitious film in her home town.
