Sri Ramarajyam is my best birthday gift: Nayanthara

Today (Nov 18) is Nayanthara’s birthday.

From the look of things, the dice is heavily loaded in favour of Nayantara.

The most reclusive superstar of south is looks a trillion bucks and she’s excited when she talks about her latest release: “Sri Ramarajyam is my best birthday gift”.

In fact the mythological film Sri Ramarajyam, in which she plays Goddess Sita, has taken a record breaking opening on its release day on Thursday and Nayan’s phone has not stopped ringing.

Calls from veterans in Telugu cinema including friends like Venkatesh, Nag, Lakshmi Manju, Prakash Raj and others are pouring in, praising her about her acting, looks and the dignity with which she has carried the role.

And Nayan is all smiles, as she says: “It feels so nice when your hard work is appreciated and today is probably one of the best days in my life. Sri Ramarajyam is like a god given gift for me, something I will live to tell my grandchildren, if I have any.”

But why does she prefer to stay away from limelight and media? Is it a part of her strategy? Nayan smiles: “I am not reclusive but I am guarded about my personal life and that’s the kind of person I am. My personal life is still personal and I wish people will respect it”.

So what does she plan to do on her birthday? The joy in her eyes is infectious as she smiles and says: “It’s a normal day, like any other person. I will definitely be celebrating the day with people who love me and who stood by me during my happy and tough times”.
