The summer season in Kollywood has started last Friday (April 4) with a bang with the release of Maan Karate. The Sivakarthikeyan-Hansika starrer has taken a flying opening at the box-office.
Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiiyaan which was scheduled to release on April 11 has been pushed to May, either 1st or 16th, depending on a simultaneous release in six languages.
Vishal-Lakshmi Menon starrer Naan Sigappu Manithan has grabbed the coveted April 11 slot, after superstar film got postponed. It is a very good date with Tamil New Year and Vishu in Kerala falling on April 14, givng the film a long weekend.
On April 18, Vadivel’s Tenaliraman has announced its release date. It is another three day weekend with Easter holidays. On April 25 there is Dulquer- Nazriya Vaayai Moodi Pesava and Jai-Nazriya Thirumanam Enn Nikah.
Siddharth – Lakshmi Menon Jigarthanda is expected on May 1. On the same day Jayam Ravi-Trisha Boologam is expected to release.
Meanwhile Kamal Haasan’s eagerly awaited Vishwaroopam 2 is also scheduled as a May release. So it is going to be a sizzling hot summer at the Tamil box-office.
