Market leader Sun TV has snapped the satellite rights of Sasikumar’s crime thriller film ‘Asuravadham’. The trailer of the film was intriguing and it’s one of the most viewed trailers in Sasikumar’s career. Directed by debutant filmmaker Marudhapandian, the major portions of the film were shot in the hilly village locales of Kodaikanal.

Nandita Swetha plays the romantic interest of Sasikumar in Asuravadham. Produced by L K Leena’s Seven Screen Studios, SR Kathir of Subramaniapuram fame has cranked the camera for the film and Govind Menon is in charge for the music. “@SunTV buys the broadcast rights of #Sasikumar and #Nanditha’s #Asuravadam movie”, tweeted Sun TV.

The film was initially planned to have a theatrical release for Tamil New Year but because of the strike, the team has pushed the release date to May.
