At the trailer launch of his upcoming production venture ‘Natpe Thunai’, the film's producer Sundar C said: “Just like Meesaya Murukku, Natpe Thunai will also convey a positive message to the society. I can’t tell messages in my directorial films as audiences expect only entertainment from me. If I try something different like Anbe Sivam, the end result wasn’t fruitful so I’m producing positive films”.
“Before the release of Meesaya Murukku, my wife Khushbu and I decided that if the film fails at the box office, we should produce another film with ‘Hiphop’ Adhi. But Meesaya Murukku went on to become a hit. Later, when I was shooting in Hyderabad, Adhi called and asked me to listen to another script which is Natpe Thunai. Unlike Meesaya Murukku, Natpe Thunai is a physically challenging film and the budget is also quite high. I saw the film recently, like it for the positive message”, he added.
Sundar C said he wasn’t bothered much about the delay of Natpe Thunai. “While making Natpe Thunai, I produced two mega serials and directed one film. I wasn’t bothered about the delay as the team didn’t waste anyone’s time. They worked hard but due to the genre of the film and practice sessions, our film got delayed”, said Sundar C.
