Remember Gautham Menon, who directed Madhavan's debut vehicle in Hindi, Rehnaa Hai Tere Dil Mein? Well, after a gap of almost three years, Menon is all set to start his second Hindi film, with Sunny Deol essaying the lead role. (Read: Gautham Menon speaks on the Telugu remake of `Kaakha Kaakha`)

A remake of Menon's Tamil hit Kaakha Kaakha [Surya, Jyothika], the film has also been made in Telugu [Garshana], with Venkatesh essaying the role of the protagonist. In fact, at a point of time, Fardeen Khan was being considered for the main role in the Hindi version. Now, it's Sunny. (Discuss: Sunny Deol is too old to play Surya's role in `Kaakha Kaakha` remake)

“Believe me, I had written the script almost five years ago with Sunny in mind,” Menon divulges, “When Sunny saw the Tamil version before leaving for the U.S., he agreed to do the film instantaneously and has even allotted dates from July to September next year.”

While the balance cast is being finalized, the film will have music by Harris Jayraj [remember the mesmerizing Zara Zara from R.H.T.D.M.?], lyrics by Sameer and stunts by Peter Haine. Indiafm
