Kannada superstar Upendra is all set to shoot for the last phase of his next movie Super Ranga, which is a remake of the Telugu movie Kick. The songs portion of the movie will be shot in Slovenia and the movie happens to be the first Kannada flick to be filmed in Slovenia.
Produced by K Manju, the multi-talented actor-composer Sadhu Kokila is directing the movie, which has been in the making for almost a year. The title Super Ranga is inspired from a track of Upendra’s hit movie. Kriti Kharbanda plays the role of the heroine in the movie.
The film unit will visit Slovenia during the second week of August and choreographer Imran Sardhariya is supposed to can two songs in the European location. The movie will be released later this year.
Producer Manju must be relieved, as two of his movies have performed well at the Box Office. While Raja Huli (remake of Tamil hit Sundara Pandiyan), fetched him profits, Dil Rangeela did decent business in the theatres. Buoyed by the success of the two movies Manju fast-tracked the shooting for the movie Super Ranga.
Once he returns from the European schedule, Upendra is set to commence work on his ambitious home production Uppi 2, which he is directing while his wife Priyanka is producing the movie. Upendra is directing a movie after a gap of three years with last directorial being Super. He is hoping that Super Ranga will be successful thereby setting the stage for his directorial venture.
