The audio launch of Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (OKOK) at Sathyam Cinemas on Monday (Mar 5) evening was a grand event. The film marks the debut of Udhayanidhi Stalin leading producer and son of MK Stalin as hero in Kollywood.
Suriya, who had done Aadhavan and 7aum Arivu for producer Udhayanidhi was the chief guest along with Karthi, Jiiva, Jayam Ravi, Vishnu and VTV Ganesh. Sony Music is the right holders of the album.
OKOK is directed by Rajesh who has made romantic comedies like Siva Manasulla Sakthi and Boss Engira Bhaskaran. So will this film be a hat trick for the young director whose calling card are his witty dialogues and one liners which connects to the young audiences.
Directors KS Ravikumar, Mysskin, Radha Mohan, Vetrimaran, Kannan, Dharani, Perarasu, Elred Kumar, Jayendra were present. Two songs from the film along with a new trailer was shown at the function
Later each and every dignitary was given time to speak about the trailer and songs which turned out to be tedious affair. All the speakers at the event praised Udhay and vouched that he is sure to become one of the hottest heroes in Tamil.
Later the crew of the film cameraman Balasubramaniam, dance master Dinesh, director Rajesh and heroine Hansika spoke about their experience working in OKOK.
As usual Santhanam stole the show with his witty speech . His anecdotes on how difficult and painful the experience of dancing to a kuthu number in the film along with Udhay brought the house down. Suriya launched the audio along with Harris Jayaraj.
