After receiving a lot of constructive feedback on the runtime and needless romantic sequences in Nenjil Thunivirunthal, the film’s director Suseenthiran chopped off nearly twenty minutes from the film. In the new version, there will not be any romantic angle for Sundeep Kishan, which means Mehreen Pirzada’s sequences have been completely removed. There is a change in the intermission and climax in the new version.

“It’s my mistake and I apologize to heroine Mehreen Pirzada for removing her scenes. But for the betterment of the film, we had no other option but to chop off her scenes”, said Suseenthiran.

“We have trimmed 20 minutes from the original version, which includes episodes involving the heroine. Apart from this, the intermission and climax of this film have been changed as well”, said Suseenthiran in his statement.

As Suseenthiran had censored the trimmed version before the release, the producers have sent the modified content to theaters yesterday.
