The wide reach of television actors in south is well known.
Swathi, better known as colours Swathi, has a place in every Telugu household thanks to the popular primetime phone-in programme she hosted. She is childlike, cute and intelligent and has an image of the girl-next-door.
After being in the limelight as the heroine of that blockbuster and trendsetter Subramaniapuram, Swathi has completed the first schedule of her second Tamil film with director Selvaraghavan in Ladakh.
Says Swathi: “I want to give my best to movies. Whatever I do, I’ll give my 100 percent. Vikram, my co-star in the film is a bundle of energy and sometimes I wonder how he can be so charged and trust me, he transfers all the positive energy to people around him”.
She also reminiscences about her 40 days Ladakh schedule which she says, was a great experience. The cold weather, crystal clear lakes, snow capped mountains and the terrain were awesome. Adds Swathi: “While I was watching Aamir’s 3 Idiots, I was screaming in the theatre when I saw the same locations where we have shot our film”.
Swathi also goes ahead to shower praises on her director Selvaraghavan who is a hard task master. But she chuckles: “But he is a sweetheart and he pushes me to do my best”.
