The 43rd International Film Festival of India (IFFI) is going on currently in Goa.

The highlight of the festival so far has been the world premiere of Ang Lee’s Life of Pi.

However it looks like Tamil films had been ignored at the IFFI. This year only Sargunan’s Vaagai Sooda Vaa has been selected.

There are also many other Tamil films which could have made it to the Indian Panorama section at Goa.

In comparison, the Malayalam film industry was able to send five of their films for the festival.

The buzz is that the Tamil film industry is not campaigning or promoting their own films at the festivals.
