Trisha Krishnan, Tamil cinema’s nice girl can’t stop smiling. The year has been fantastic for her as she was the heroine in “Saamy”, the biggest hit of the year. Excerpts of a quick chat:
Tell us about Saamy.
The film gave me mass acceptance and to be a part of the biggest blockbuster of the year is like a dream come true for me.
Your role in Saamy
My role as Bhuvana was well etched out. Though the film was about Arusaamy played by Vikram, my role was equally important for the story to move on. I have to thank my director Hari. Vikram was also very helpful. The songs were
shot well and on the whole it was a nice experience.
Your future projects.
Gilli with Vijay, Mani Ratnam directed Ayutha Ezhuthu, Ajit’s G. In Telugu I have completed Varsham opposite Prabhas and also signed a film with Pawan Kalyan.
What is your role in Varsham
I play a girl torn between three men - my father Prakash Raj, villain Gopichand and lover Prabhas. A major part of the film was shot in the rain and my role is very challenging. M.S.Raju, the producer of blockbuster Okkadu are producing this film which is also technically outstanding.
According to a recent opinion poll conducted by a satellite channel you top the list.
(Smiles) I hope to do better roles and get audience appreciation in future too!
