Producer Tandra Ramesh a well-known name in Tamil films, who recently launched a movie with Gopichand as hero, has bagged remake rights of Megastar Chiranjeevi's Khaidi

In a press note, he said he bought the rights from the original producers and would produce it with a big hero.

Released in 1983, director Kodandarami Reddy's Khaidi was the turning point in Chiranjeevi's career. With Khaidi, he firmed up his position as leading actor.

Although buzz is that Tandra Ramesh is planning to remake it with Chiru's son Ram Charan, he's refused to divulge details. "Currently discussions are going on with a big hero. And a well-established successful director would direct it," is what Tandra Ramesh offers to say.

A few months ago, there was also talk that Puri Jagannadh was planning to remake it with Mahesh Babu as hero. So it remains to be seen who would direct and who would act in it - Charan or Mahesh Babu?
