On Tuesday, Tamil Film Producers Council(TFPC) has reconfirmed their strike against digital service providers by holding all the new film releases from March 1.

In the statement, TFPC said that the decision is taken for the betterment of film industries in the five southern states of India against the exorbitant charges demanded by digital service providers like QUBE and UFO as Visual Projection Fee (VPF).

In the last meet, digital service providers offered to reduce the fee by a small percentage but producers from Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada industries were not convinced.

The point to be noted here is only new films from Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam will not release from March 1 but the producers will as usual continue film shoots and post-production works.
