Satyaraj past his prime is one of the biggest survivors in Tamil cinema. He knows his limitations better than anyone else and stitches his roles to suit his image on current measurements!

In 2004, he tasted success with Adi Thadi and Maha Nadigan both commission earners in B and C stations. However his Pongal release Iyer IPS was a wash out. But unperturbed, Satyaraj sails on by launching a new film aptly titled 6.2.

6.2 is Satyaraj’s height and he feels that this title is unique. Says debutant director Pritvi Rajkumar: “Satyaraj sir believes in title value to attract his fans and 6.2 will have all commercial elements and his lollu.” Sunitha Varma, a Mumbai model is the heroine and the cast also has Vadivelu, Raj Kapoor and Manobala. D.Immam is the music director.

Satyaraj thrives on controversies surrounding his films. Says the actor: “ “Maha Nadigan” was a huge hit even though I got criticized for making fun of other heroes”. Satyaraj who is younger than Kamal Hassana nd Rajnikanth admits: “At my age I cannot run around trees or sing duets with girls who are as old as my son Sibi! So I have to survive doing such roles which may have its share of controversies”.

A Satyaraj film is made around Rs 1.50 Crore but he ensures that his producers never lose money which itself is a big thing in the industry.
