The Nayanthara effect!

Undoubtedly, she’s the hottest star in cinema today!

She went missing from the radar after receiving rave reviews for her amazing portrayal as Sita in the Telugu hit Sri Ramarajyam (2011). But before someone could go looking for her, Nayan has resurfaced in style with a bigger movie and in a meatier role in Raja Rani which has been declared a hit by the trade.

Nayan seems to be delighted to be a part of a heart-warming musical love story with a tageline - 'There is love after a love failure' (which strangely has a coincidence with her real life).  Her performance and screen presence saved the film and as we have always said, the lady sure has an opening, unlike her contemporaries.

Career wise Nayan is getting what she wants. And with each passing day comes a new challenge. She has done her chunk of films where she was just needed to look good and dance around trees.

Happy by the way her career is progressing, Nayan is smiling as her next release Arrambam with the hot ‘n’ happening Ajith gets ready for a Diwali release. The trailer cut of her Ithu Kathivelann Kathal is out and she will be starting her new film with Jayam Ravi which will be directed by Jayam Raja.

In Telugu she has Anamika a remake of Kahaani from Hindi and another film with action hero Gopichand.  Nayan is carving her own niche in a business that’s exceedingly male-dominated-  and on her own terms.

We guess that’s what they call woman power!
