The four days strike of theater owners in Tamil Nadu comes to an end after a temporary amicable settlement has been made with the Tamil Nadu Government. It's been announced that from tomorrow, theaters will be operated as usual and instead of local tax, appropriate GST will be incorporated.

Also, in order to monitor irregularities in ticket pricing, a separate committee has been made with representatives from theater owners and government officials.

Interestingly, there will not be any new releases this week so majority of theaters will be playing last week release Ivan Thanthiran starring Gautham and RJ Balaji and director Vijay’s Vanamagan starring Jayam Ravi and Sayyeshaa.

Producers are also now discussing to reschedule their release dates due to the confusion caused by the unexpected strike.
