There is no sequel for 'Sphadikam', clarifies director Bhadran Mattel

During the past few days there was a news doing the rounds that a director is planning the sequel for the yesteryear blockbuster Sphadikam.

Sphadikam, directed by Bhadran Mattel, released in 1995 with Mohanlal as the hero named Aadu Thoma. The movie and the character attained a cult status over the years.

The sequel to it, as per reports, was said to be based on the story of “Irumban Sunny”, the son of Aadu Thoma. There was also a report that suggested Sunny Leone will play the daughter of the seductress played by Silk Smitha in the original.

Now Sphadikam director Bhadran Mattel has made things clear: “There is only one Sphadikam… and that has happened…”
