For the first time in the history of Kollywood, the audio rights of a film has been snapped for the second time within two weeks of the theatrical release.
Yes, songs of Hiphop Tamizha Adhi’s debut heroic and directorial film ‘Meesaya Murukku’ was initially released through Hiphop Tamizha YouTube channel and also through Avni Music powered by Trend Music in other digital platforms.
But after knowing that the songs of Meesaya Murukku have become big hits and attracting audiences to theaters, leading music label Think Music has acquired the audio rights from Avni Music.
“After two weeks of #MeesayaMurukku, the audio rights gets acquired again #firsttimeever thanks for making the audio a #superhit “, tweeted Adhi.
Audio industry in Tamil Nadu is going through a rough phase as there are no buyers for physical CDs and digital music has become the new trend so music labels are not ready to invest in all the albums but they seemed to have misjudged the potential of Hiphop Tamizha’s Meesaya Murukku.
