On Friday, Mani Ratnam and Rajiv Menon attended the first look launch of Dulquer Salmaan’s Solo in Chennai. The film is a biligual directed by Bejoy Nambiar. An interesting fact is that Solo has three cinematographers, eleven music directors, and fifteen songs.
“What Bejoy Nambiar showed us now is only the teaser. I am very much impressed with what I saw, it creates a lot of curiosity and interest”, said Mani Ratnam. Ace cinematographer Rajiv Menon conveyed his birthday wish to Dulquer Salmaan and expressed his astonishment saying “While we are struggling to shoot one song, altogether, the Tamil and Telugu versions of Solo will have thirty songs”.
In his speech, Dulquer thanked all his directors and said that he is happy with his present position in the film industry. “I will strive hard to deliver quality entertainers. Acting in a Tamil-Malayalam bilingual is like acting in eight films simultaneously”, added Dulquer, who thanked Mani Ratnam for attending the three Tamil film events—Vaayai Moodi Pesavum, O Kadhal Kanmani and Solo.
