Three Kannada films, each renowned for different reasons, are to hit the screens this week.
These films have to complete with the new arrivals of non-Kannada films this week besides facing resistance from movies like Vishwaroopam and the Telugu film Mirchi and the Kannada films Varadanayaka and Charminar.
The first of these Kannada films, Attahasa, is a film based on Veerappan and his death. Award winning director A.M.R.Ramesh directed this film which features actor Kishor in Veerappan`s role and Arjun Sarja plays the senior police officer Vijay Kumar. Ravi Kale plays another special role.
The other two films are Pade Pade featuring young actor Tarun and Mrudula and Devaraane with Ravishankar and Neethu in the lead. The songs of Pade Pade directed by R.Nagaraj Peenya are now popular with youngsters. The song `Manasaagidheyo` has already crossed 14 lakh hits on YouTube.
Devaraane directed by Lucky Shankar has a message for the audience. Shankar says that he will expose the self styled god-men in the film who exploit the innocent people.
Ravishankar plays Chitteswamy`s role while Neethu plays his lover. Comedy artists Sadhu Kokila and Tabala Naani are also part of this film.
