Vijay’s Tirupachi has been stayed by the Madras High Court following a case given by multinational Godrej Sara Lee Ltd against the film.

In Tirupachi its hero Sivagiri (Vijay) sprays HIT (Cockroach Repellent) into villain “Pan Parag” Ravi’s (Aryan) mouth to kill him. The Red coloured HIT can is clearly shown in close up as the insect repellent is used in the film as a weapon for killing humans, which the company objected to.

The company had, at the time of the release asked the producers R.B.Chowdary and his Super Good Films to remove the scene but they had ignored it. Now after the High Court order, the producers are desperate to morph the scene!

Says R.B.Chowdary: “We have morphed the scene with immediate effect in all the prints across Tamilnadu. And in some cases the distributors have even deleted this objectionable scene”.
