Yesterday, we reported on SR Prabhu’s detailed point of view on how digital service providers are imposing a huge financial burden on producers by demanding unreasonable amount as Visual Projection Fee (VPF). Reacting to SR Prabhu’s statement, veteran distributor Tiruppur Subramaniam has sent an audio message.

Subramaniam says that the main problem that Tamil film industry faces today is the exorbitant remuneration given to leading actors and technicians. According to the distributor, the salary of these actors, directors, and technicians cost around 70% of the production cost. The distributor says they prefer QUBE for their top-notch projection quality.

Subramaniam also blames that the high remuneration of actors and technicians forced legendary production houses like Super Good Films and AVM to quit the film industry. The distributor suggests big actors and technicians should work with the producers on profit sharing basis.
