The GV Films Ltd movie TN 07 AL 4777 starring Pasupathy, Ajmal and Meenakshi along with Simran, had a glittering audio launch at the Green Park hotel in Chennai.
The event was attended by the who’s who of the film industry and the occasion saw the launch of Vijay Antony Music, a label of the music director himself.
The event was a simple one and the speeches were kept short and sweet. Among those present were Ajmal, Pasupathy and Meenakshi along with the crew of director A Laxmikanthan, Cameraman RP Gurudev, Vijay Antony, and guests Arya, Nakulan, Shanthnoo, singer Chinmayi, Vasanthabalan, Abirami Ramanathan, Hansraj Saxena of Sun TV, Muraliraman of Jaya TV, Editor Mohan, Dhananjayan of Moserbaer, and sound engineer A S Laxminarayanan.
Producers Venkataramani and Ganesh Mahadevan welcomed the gathering. Breaking away from convention, no song from the film was shown and instead, a glittering dance performance of two songs from the film were staged by the dancing troupe, Flyers.
Harris Jayaraj was the special invitee who released the audio. Abirami Ramanathan recollected his experience of distributing Sivaji in Chennai city along with GV films and said his theatre group would support their new venture
Shantanoo said he had seen the Hindi version of the film and liked it and felt that Pasupathy would do justice to the role of Nana Patekar. Dhananjayan complimented Vijay Antony for his marketing and technical skills apart from being a good music director.
However the cynosure of all eyes was heroine Meenakshi. Vijay Antony gave full credit to his wife for the success of the event and for taking care of things even though she was not present on the occasion.
