Udhayanidhi Stalin's 'Nimir' confirms January 26 release

Finally, the makers of Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Nimir confirmed that the film will not be a Pongal release and announced that they will hit the screens on January 26. In his recent tweet, Udhayanidhi Stalin posted that the trailer of the film will be out today and the theatrical release is on Republic Day.

Directed by veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan, Nimir has an ensemble of actors including Samuthirakani, Mahendran, MS Baskar, Namitha Pramod, Parvati Nair and Karunakaran. Produced by Santhosh T. Kuruvilla’s Moonshot Entertainment and Udhay’s Red Giant Movies, NK Ekambaram of Kaavalan fame has cranked the camera for the film and two music composers—Darbuka Siva and Ajaneesh have contributed the songs.

Nimir is the official remake of Malayalam hit Maheshinte Prathikaaram but director Priyadarshan has made necessary changes in the screenplay for Tamil audiences.
