When it comes to promotions you can’t beat UTV. They have a style of their own that gives the movie the initial big push. The way they are promoting their Delhi Belly remake in Tamil titled Settai releasing on April 5 is an eye opener.
The first song from Settai ‘Agaladhey Agaladhey..’ , a beautiful melody composed by Thaman and picturised on lead pair Arya and Hansika in Switzerland was premiered a month before release on TV.
UTV and Sony Music aggressively promoted the song on the music channels which resulted in the song moving up the charts. Now the second song from the film ‘Poyum Poyum ’ was premiered on the channels. This song too is picturised on Arya along with the other heroine Anjali in Swiss Alps.
UTV idea seems to be making its Delhi Belly an adult comedy with no romantic songs look like a ‘family entertainer’ for the Tamil audiences! But one thing is clear they are on the right track as far as promotions are concerned.
