Amidst huge star presence, the audio of Aishwarya R Dhanush's Vai Raj Vai was launched today at Chennai.

Unlike many audio launch functions, Vai Raja Vai was not presented by popular hosts. As the film brought together the next generation of Rajinikanth, Vairamuthu, Ilaiyaraaja Karthik, and Kalpathi family, Vai Raja Vai's director Aishwarya Dhanush, lyricist Madhan Karky, music director Yuvan and Archana Kalpathi who hosted the function.

Earlier an AV featuring Rajinikanth, Vairamuthu, Karthik and Ilaiyaraaja was aired in which all of them wished the entire crew of Vai Raja Vai.

Rajini said "Aishwarya made her debut with an art film and during that time she told me about her plan to make a complete action thriller". Rajini added “I’m a big fan of Yuvan's music and impressed with his versatility in composing for films ranging from Paruthiveeran to Billa".

On Yuvan's work in Vai Raja Vai, Rajini said “I’ve heard all the songs in the film and they are unique, wishing the team a great success".

Ilaiyaraaja said “Aishwarya was very firm in her decision to make me sing in the film and she succeeded in it". The maestro added “ People would have heard my song in the film and just like how I enjoyed the album, hopefully the audience will also like it".

Dhanush who wrote the 'Move your body' number in the film said "I feel really honored to listen Ilaiyaraaja singing my lyrics and when I first heard the song, it gave me goose bumps". The actor recalled how he consider Ilaiyaraaja as demi-god and how he used to ask Yuvan to pose for a snap with Isaignani.

Directors SJ Suryah, Bala and KV Anand were in full praise for Aishwarya. Bala said “Aishwarya is always been adamant in what she wants, when she called me for the audio launch I had an outdoor shooting with 200 artists but she insisted me to come and here I am. A director should be adamant in getting what they want and Aishwarya is having that particular quality ".

KV Anand said “Normally women directors will take issue-based films but going by the trailer of Vai Raja Vai, the film will make the male young generation directors jealous". Speaking about Gautham Karthik, KV Anand said “Had Dhanush rejected Anegan, I would have approached Gautham Karthik and appreciated him for being energetic".

Visuals of two songs 'Pachai Vanna' and 'Move your body' were screened at the event and everyone appreciated the work of cinematographer Velraj.

Celebrities also appreciated the slicky trailer of the film and actor Vivek said "Though Aishwarya's debut film was a non-commercial venture, I believe that Vai Raja Vai will make her a successful commercial director like KS Ravikumar. Who knows, she might direct Rajinikanth someday"...
