Ten times Kamal Haasan stirred up Tamil society

The Judicial Magistrate Court in Valliyoor has summoned Kamal Haasan to appear in person to explain his comments on the Hindu epic Mahabharatham.

The petitioner has filed the plea based on the actor’s comments in an interview to a private news channel while answering a question on the harassment against women in the film industry.

Kamal has apparently said that Mahabharatham, an ancient book, which is being celebrated by Indians has an episode where they pledge woman and uses her as a pawn. The petitioner found Kamal’s statement offensive and stated that the actor has hurt the sentiments of Hindu community.
