New Delhi, Feb 5 (IANS) Let's Design, a pan-India competition that educates and inspires young designers to work with cotton fabrics, has announced Vedangi Agarwal and Harjosh Singh Goraya as the joint winners of the fifth season.
Vedangi hails from Lucknow, while Harjosh is a Delhi guy.
"It was a lot of hard work but this competition was a great way to get exposure and experience as a designer," said Harjosh in a statement. He feels that they also learned "a lot about cotton".
Vedangi too feels the same.
She said: "There are many more types of cotton fabric than I thought. I enjoyed being challenged to break conventional thinking about cotton applications and use these fabrics in unexpected ways."
As the joint winners they will share Rs. 1 million to start their own lines, a fashion spread in Verve magazine, and the opportunity to present their collection at the spring-summer 2014 Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week.
