Veerasamar, one of the most promising art directors in Tamil cinema who has done classics like Kadhal, Veyil, Poo is now turning hero with Veerasekharan, releasing this Friday (March 5).
Veerasamar, who comes from Usilampatti near Madurai, understands the village milieu which made his set design for “Madurai made movies” successful.
The film is directed by debutant Navi Satish Kumar and has some good melodies by Sajin Madhav, son of the late “melody king of Malayalam films” Raveendran Master.
Says Veerasamar: “ I had done a few films in insignificant roles like hero’s friend etc , so when writer and director Navi Satish Kumar approached me for “Veerasekharan a realistic film, I jumped at it. We had a press show and some of the industry people also saw it, they are all of the opinion it is a very good film that will be a hit.”
