It looks like, Sivakarthikeyan’s Velaikkaran will not be releasing on September 29 due to the delay in post production.

As Velaikkaran opts out of September 29 release, Nayanthara’s female centric film ‘Aramm’ directed by Gopi Nainar, Vijay Sethupathi's Karuppan, Santhanam’s long delayed Server Sundaram, Susi Ganesan’s Thiruttu Payale 2, Gautham Karthik’s Hara Hara Mahadeviki, GV Prakash's Semma and Jai’s Balloon are competing to get enough screens on Aayudha Pooja day.

Apart from the above-mentioned films, Telugu Superstar Mahesh Babu’s big Tamil entry ‘Spyder’ will be releasing on September 27. Lyca Productions, producers of Thalapathy Vijay’s Kaththi and Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming magnum opus ‘2.O’ is taking care of the Tamil Nadu theatrical release of Spyder.

Team Spyder is also planning to hold a grand audio launch on September 9 in Chennai.
