It is official! Vetrimaran has put his Vada Chennai with Silambarasan on the backburner and is making an all new film with Dhanush!

Vetrimaran himself has confirmed it by his tweets. He says he is going to direct Dhanush for a film which will be produced by Cloud Nine’s Dhayanidhi Alagiri and will have music by GV Prakash. The technical team of Aadukalam like cameraman Velraj and actor Kishore will also be a part of the new film.

There were speculations in the Vada Chennai camp that the film was going through tough times as initially Rana who was signed up walked out and STR who was in US for almost two months came back and is eager yet to complete projects like Poda Podi and Vettai Mannan.

So it was but a sensible decision for Vetrimaran to start a project, instead of waiting for the hero’s dates.

Meanwhile Vetrimaran who wants to play it safe without any controversy has tweeted – “Due to various unavoidable reasons we are postponing the shoot of Vada Chennai. Silambarasan will play the protagonist. No change in that.”
