Vindoo walked out of the police lock-up after his conditional bail formalities were completed, including furnishing a bail bond of Rs 25,000.
While granting him bail, Additional Metropolitan Magistrate M N Saleem asked him not to leave the country and to report to the police station every alternate day.
Vindoo was mobbed by the waiting media contingent as he came out, but he declined to speak at first.
Later, he addressed the press in the company of his wife Dina Umarova, where he repeated that he was innocent.
I have never done any match-fixing, nor told any lies. I haven't heard half the names taken by the media," said Vindoo. "I have never spoken to any cricketer about spot-fixing."
