Tamil Film Producers Council’s (TFPC) President Vishal has said that they have requested both Central and State Governments to completely eradicate piracy with the help of cyber crime and Internet Service Providers.

Vishal says that the film industry needs a permanent solution and if their requests are not met, Tamil Film Producers will go on a strike from May 30.

If producers undergo strike, there will not be any film shoots and according to sources, theater owners association has also given their full support to TFPC, which means there won’t be any new releases from May 30 in Tamil Nadu.

It has to be noted that only a few days back, representatives from various sectors of the film industry met Venkaiah Naidu, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting and expressed their impasse.
