In a dramatic series of events, actor Vishal’s nomination to contest in the RK Nagar by-election has been rejected saying the signatures of two proposers were forged and these names were included without their knowledge.
Yesterday, when Vishal’s nomination was rejected, the actor protested on the road. After Vishal submitted an audio file to the returning officer proving how one of the proposers was influenced by the ruling party, the actor met the media and thanked Election Commission for accepting his nomination again.
But later in the night, an official statement from the returning officer clearly read that Vishal’s nomination is rejected and he can’t contest in the RK Nagar constituency.
“Democracy at its lowest low !!Disheartening to hear that the nomination made by me was initially accepted & later when I left, has been announced as invalid”, tweeted Vishal.
Arvind Swamy also tweeted how politics played its game in Vishal’s case, check out the two questions raised by the Thani Oruvan actor …
Logically,Getting 10 people to propose such a candidate for a nomination is not difficult
Even If forged, and there seems no reason for that in this case, Those proposers being aware of the same and approaching the EC with an objection in 24 hrs, unlikely.
