Vishal is jumping with joy. His Naan Sigappu Manithan's Telugu version Indrudu, which released in over 300 screens in Andhra on June 20 has turned out to be a hit.
It has taken the trade by surprise as the audiences are loving it and WOM (word of mouth) is strong.
Dhananjayan of UTV, the co-producers of NSM said: 'Indrudu is a different edit and slightly modified version of NSM as we removed a shock element and narrated a slightly different version, which appealed to the audience'.
Vishal is thrilled with the response and has gone to AP for promotions. Speaking to sify.com from Vizag, Vishal said: 'I am taken back by the audience response to Indrudu. They seem to love it as reflected in the collections and more screens have been added from Sunday. And today (Monday) a working day, the collections are steady. I'm sure Indrudu is all set to break the record of my biggest hit in Andhra, Sanda Kozhi'.
