Meeting reporters in Chennai, Tamil Film Producers Council’s President Vishal said that with the help of Prakash Raj and South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce, talks have been initiated with Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce(KFCC) regarding the Kaala release issue.
Vishal said: “We have requested KFCC to see Kaala as a film, Rajinikanth’s political image should not affect the release there. We all are Indians, what Rajini sir talked in Cauvery issue is his freedom of speech. We are ready to even meet the honorable Chief Minister of Karnataka to solve this issue”.
However, Vishal refused to comment on Rajinikanth’s statement saying that the anti-social elements intruded in the Tuticorin protest as the actor is yet to see the video of Superstar’s interaction with the media. Vishal also revealed that Nadigar Sangam is planning to financially help the victims of Sterlite protest, “Helping the victims of Sterlite protest is our duty”, said Vishal.
