Kamal Haasan’s Vishwaroopam which was initially banned in Tamil Nadu by the state government and released two weeks after the ban was lifted, is celebrating 50 days today.
Vishwaroopam was released in TN on February 8 and remains the highest grossing Tamil film of the year. Due to all the publicity, the film went on to become a hit. Kamal Haasan was able to come out of his debts, thanks to the film’s success at the box-office.
Now Kamal is all set for Vishwaroopam 2, for which he has shot 40% of the footage earlier itself. Due to the controversies Vishwaroopam became a brand and the sequel is sure to have a phenomenal opening when it releases later this year
