Kamal Haasan's controversial film Vishwaroopam released in more than 70 centres in Kerala. The release of the film has been stayed in Tamil Nadu, Andhra and Karnataka. The legendary actor has said that he is disappointed about the decision.
The film was originally announced to have a DTH release and that created protests from the exhibitors. However the move was cancelled later on.
The release of the film has been delayed due to the complaints certain religious groups.
In his recent visit to Kerala, Kamal Haasan has stated that he has always been close to Malayalis and that he is expecting a rousing welcome for the film here.
The buzz is that a major portions of the sequel to the film has already been shot and it will all depend on the fate of the original.
