Why are New-gen directors in M town secretive?

Three new generation directors are currently working on their latest projects and what is common to all of them? They are so secretive about their films!

Anjali Menon`s Fahadh-Dulquer-Nivin project, Aashiq Abu's Gangster and Srinath Rajendran's Koothara are happening in Kochi but the looks of the actors or the basic story lines have not been revealed to the outsiders as yet.

Now, what could be the reason for this sudden decision, by these filmmakers who have enjoyed tremendous media hype during their early days?

As they are tight lipped, let us come up with our own assumptions.

The first one is that they have all started their projects without a bound script and in one of the films, even after days of shooting, the star cast was not finalized!

Also, then there is a fear against all searching for the originals of their stories, if there are "solid inspirations"!

Of course, going for publicity earlier on or later is up to the filmmakers. All we want are good films!
