Will the unofficial strike in the film industry come to an end on Feb 16?
A joint meeting has been called on Thursday by the state Labour Commission to sort out the TFPC-FEFSI deadlock?
There has not been shooting in Tamil Nadu, for the last 25 days. Though there have been whispers that some producers are shooting on the sly after paying the “new rates” demanded by the unions.
Everybody in the industry is keeping their fingers crossed that something will come out of the state government sponsored talks on Feb 16.
Among them the summer releases like Billa 2 and Saguni have balance three or four days of shoot left before they can commence post-production work.
Kushboo has tweeted: “The problem between FEFSI and TFPC should come to an end amicably, so manyf ilms have been stalled due to strike. We sympathize and empathize with the workers and technicians and do understand them but they also need to show equal understanding towards producers”.
